So when a bride comes to me and says “I have this really wacky idea for a seating chart for our wedding, and I’m hoping you can help”, I always do a happy dance! Unique, personalized seating charts and escort card displays are one of my favorite things to dream up with a couple!
A SALAD SEATING CHART
To date, one of my favorite seating charts and wedding day sign combinations has been Jessica + Chris’s wedding at The Vineyards at Chappel Lodge. Jessica and Chris had their first date at a local salad shop here in Austin, Vinaigrette. So when Jessica was dreaming up her seating chart, she knew she wanted to incorporate salad. Our final design incorporated their super chic black and white wedding theme with the sweetest jars of salad (Thank you Royal Fig!) We created custom jar labels with the story behind the salad, and then tied tags to each jar with guest names and table assignments. Topped off with a witty header, this sign stole the show at their wedding, and was a guest (and couple!) favorite!

To keep everything cohesive throughout the wedding, we used the same lettering style for all of the table numbers and bar signage, and kept Chris & Jessica’s personality showing with a cute quote “He says whiskey, She says white wine” on their white acrylic bar menu.

The overall look of the wedding was completed with gorgeous florals from Remi & Gold and giant marquee letters from Alpha Lit Austin.
Overall, it was the most magical night for one of the most fun couples I’ve gotten to work with!

Have you ever had a wild dream and not a clue how to make it into a reality? If so, then you need Megan, she is the master of making sure your wedding is as unique and special as you imagined it would be! For my big day she created us a custom massive salad wall that we used as our escort wall. IT WAS STUNNING! Like most brides, I wanted something “different” for my big day and working with Megan was such a pleasure. She is so incredibly talented, sweet, and super organized. After seeing her incredible work, I wish I would’ve had more of her custom signage at my wedding! You cannot go wrong with hiring Owl & Envelope for your stationary or handwritten needs!
