Annie & Scott had the most colorful, joy-filled celebration this past spring at South Congress Hotel. Their wedding week was a four-day celebration, starting with a welcome party at Geraldine’s on a Wednesday, a wedding celebration on Thursday at South Congress Hotel, followed by a fun pool party Friday morning and Shabbat dinner Friday night. They wrapped up with a farewell party on Saturday! All in all, it was a busy, fun, and colorful week!
Well before the wedding week, though, we had the honor of creating a modern, colorful invitation suite for Annie + Scott. We captured a more editorial vibe with the font selection and high-contrast pops of black. Then we softened it up a touch with florals in their wedding colors. The yellow vellum band to tie it all together was my favorite touch!
Part of the wedding design was that each day featured a different color theme. Along with this, there was a matching-colored signature cocktail. It was such a fun touch and so neat to bring together for them!
Wednesday started with a welcome party at Geraldine’s, with purple being the color of the day. Annie & Scott had an inside joke about having lifesize cardboard cutouts of them, so we absolutely had to make that happen! The cardboard cutouts pointed the way to the elevator up to Geraldine’s, and then provided a fun photo op for guests at the party. We also created fun, modern bar menus in purple. We displayed them on our clipboard rental next to the gorgeous florals for the bar.

The wedding day was one of our most colorful days, with one of the largest installs to date – and we will forever be in love! While all the colors of the week were tied into the wedding day, yellow was the star. By far the favorite touch to this entire wedding, we created a bright yellow door for guests to enter into the dreamy wedding ceremony space! This was one of our most ambitious designs, and honestly, I’ll be dreaming of it forever!
Once in the reception space, guests were greeted by a new cardboard cutout, as well as custom-built acrylic light box signs for the seating chart display and bar menus. Austin Event Lighting brought the light magic, and Remi & Gold decked everything out in florals! (A moment for the florals though, because both the ceremony and reception space were AMAZING!)
Other wedding day details included dinner menus and acrylic table numbers to tie their wedding branding from their invites into the day itself.

On Friday, the theme was orange! Starting with a fun pool party complete with orange bar signage, and then ending with their Shabbat dinner at Cafe No Se, where we created a fun ombre seating chart from our mini box rentals, matching ombre dinner menus customized to each guests menu selection, and a fun long frosted acrylic bar menu. The orange tones played so well with the aqua color palette of Cafe No Se. And it was the perfect ending to a beautiful four-days of celebrating Annie + Scott!

Overall, this wedding was a dream to work on, and we’ll forever be swooning over all of this color! We can’t wait to bring more dream days to life for our couples in 2023.
