I have been so so excited to share this wedding with y’all! It truly was a dream of a wedding, and Sarah & Ryan were a dream of a couple to work with! The way they look at each other, talk about each other, and take care of each other is a thing of beauty. It was truly an honor to be a part of their beautiful day, and I am so happy to share with you! Alex of XO Moreau Events coordinated all this magic, and as usual, was a regular fairy godmother! Every single detail was executed to perfection, and really captured this couples sweet love story.

Before we get into the fun reception decor I worked with Sarah on, just take a look at these awesome portraits by the uber-talented Reigh Walker! I mean, if you are looking for a photographer, she is who you want making you look fab!

Sarah & Ryan created these sweet welcome bags for their out of town guests, complete with this fun map of their favorite spots in Austin!

For the entire wedding weekend, we combined canvas and chalkboard signs, with soft organic motifs of leaves and vines. 

Kicking off all the fun was this welcome chalkboard for the rehearsal dinner at Olive & June!

On the day of their wedding, I lettered the vintage chalkboard at Gather Monroe as a welcome and itinerary for their guests. We added a fun thank you to their guests, as well as a quote from “January Wedding” by the Avett Brothers as a fun nod to their date.

 

 

For the ceremony, Sarah wanted to honor her mom, who passed away, with a sweet butterfly release ceremony. We worked on this sweet sign, and I was truly honored to be a part of this important memory for her and Ryan, and help her mom be a part of her day.  Guests also had blankets in case they got cold during the outdoor ceremony under the trees.

Sarah & Ryan’s reception was a thing for the books. They had so many fun food and dessert vendors!! We created menus for the barbecue, taco truck, and chips and salsa table. Sarah also added fun details throughout the reception with signage, which turned out so great!

I had so much fun working with Sarah, and feel like we really got to make some magic together! Here’s what she had to say about the experience:

“Megan is THE BEST!! She is such an amazing talent and a sweetheart also. She brought all of my creative visions to life and her signs and art literally made our wedding. She worked with my closely and met up with me multiple times leading up to the wedding day. Megan exceeded all of my expectations. If you need any type of signage for your event, I highly recommend Owl and Envelope!”

These sweethearts were a dream to work with, and I’m so happy I got to know them, and get to have them as an Owl & Envelope couple!  Here’s to many years of this sweet love story!
