Vintage Bridal Shower at the Refinery at 120

When Bethany at Rose & Lily Events asked me to collaborate on a styled bridal shower with her in Culpeper, Virginia, I jumped at the opportunity! She is a day of coordinator, and just added bridal shower coordination to her services. I was so excited to do a bridal shower, as they are one of my favorite parts of a wedding. When Bethany contacted me, she said she was going to GIVE AWAY a free styled bridal shower. How exciting is that?? So often we as vendors are so focused on the big day, we forget about all the big days that lead up to it. Bridal showers are an opportunity to really embrace your style as a bride, and have fun with the girls. Have some macarons, don a flower crown, and get inspired by this gorgeous bridal shower!

Below is our inspiration board. Bethany wanted to focus on a mix of vintage and modern with an emphasis on jewel tones like ruby and emerald.

For the invitations, I wanted to keep the floral element and focus on a cleaner, more modern look, while using vintage details like velvet ribbon, gold calligraphy, a natural envelope liner. I’m really excited with how they turned out!

After I was done with the invitations, I moved on to some custom gold kissed place cards, complete with scarlet watercolor calligraphy to tie it all together. This color combination was such a dream to work with. I mean, who doesn’t love a touch of gold foil and a reason to use velvet ribbon??

On the day of Kristie’s bridal shower, Bethany and a dream team of vendors worked pure magic on this gorgeous venue. The emerald draping and floral decked photo backdrop are just to die for. Here are a few of my favorite highlights:
